I particularly enjoyed this part in Book 5 so far..

Yeah I know I just barely made a blog post, but had to mention this.












IIRC the wormholes use a base 5 system including network packets.

I've taken an IT course and found it pretty funny that basic network packets are still of use from an ancient (extinct?) civilization.

Also. The introduction of Squirrel-Rat-Dragons was cool. I'm a furry and the surprise anthro species are entertaining. More how I'd imagine aliens too, like the sci-fi trope of basically humans with maybe a strange color of skin and stuff on their foreheads gets old.

I think Dennis E. Taylor must be a fan of speculative biology, at least going by the Outland series, with alternate earth animals evolving in interesting ways, mega-fauna, stuff like that.

Re-Reading (listening to) the Bobiverse books

(note: originally posted at wearebob.fandom.com. That wiki is much smaller so I'm gonna post here instead.)

I started listening to the Bobiverse books again after starting the process of listening through book 5.

Particularly I've been hoping to get a detailed list of the Bobs' Lineage, as having tens of thousands of Bobs in the later books is starting to confuse me. Well.. the plot definitely sticks to 5 or less, but sometimes a Bob gets mentioned offhandedly that hasn't been mentioned since like 2 books ago, and I just feel lost.

This fandom is probably the only decent resource for a good list, but it's at least 2 books out of date in a lot of areas. (and I should mention, please use an adblocker on fandom, it is a cesspool of a …
