A buster is a non-explosive weapon that uses its own kinetic energy to damage a target by ramming it at high speed. The impact usually destroys the buster along with the target.
Ship Buster[]
A ship buster is the first weapon that Bob creates. The HEAVEN-1 vessel is not equipped with any weapons, so Bob designs his own after he leaves Earth, and fabricates them when he has mined sufficient raw materials in Epsilon Eridani. He deploys his first ship busters in the First Battle of Epsilon Eridani against his first enemy, Major Ernesto Medeiros.
The typical ship buster is a sphere that weighs 500kg and is made primarily of heavy metals, with a SURGE drive attached. This is what allows the buster to maneuver and accelerate to deadly speeds.
Personnel Buster[]
A personnel buster is a scaled-down version of a ship buster. It weighs about 20kg. It is used on the surface of a planet, to take out threats such as native predators. Bob creates the first personnel buster to defend the Deltans against the Gorrilloids.
Personnel busters can travel at supersonic speeds, causing the complete disintegration or liquefaction of any biological target.
