Riker (and later, Will), is a 2nd generation Replicant, created by Bob after the Battle of Epsilon Eridani against Medieros. Riker is the first to volunteer to go back to Earth and check on the other humans, and leads the mission to evacuate Earth after the war of the mid 2100's.
Riker named himself based off Star Trek character William T. Riker. He buys in heavily to the Star Trek theme, using a Star Trek command center as his VR and wearing a command uniform from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Riker is one of the more serious of the Bob replicants, butting heads early with Milo and his first clone, Homer.
We Are Legion, We Are Bob[]
Riker volunteers to go back to Earth and find out what happened to the human race, treating the survival of his home as a mission he is tasked to complete. He takes the lead role in negotiating with the New United Nations and planning the evacuation of the surviving humans from the decimated Earth.
He forms a strong bond with Colonel Butterworth, built on a mutual respect gained through many years of contentious discussions about the USE's evacuation to Vulcan.
Riker continues the construction of colony ships to eventually evacuate all surviving humans from Earth. He engages in a cat and mouse game with Vehement, as the terrorist organization attacks humans and their food sources. He takes Homer's death hard, and brings justice down on Vehement and its leader, Vickers, with extreme prejudice.
He continues building his relationship with Julia and her family as they resettle on Romulus. They begin calling him Uncle Will, and he gets great enjoyment from their family video calls.
All These Worlds[]
As the Bob in Residence in the Sol system as The Others' expedition approaches, he takes a primary role in The Battle of Terra. He travels to Omicron2 Eridani with The Bellerophon and the remainder of the human colonists, and stays to help with the resettlement of the colonists.
Heaven's River[]
Will, no longer using the name Riker, retires from being Bob in Residence in Omicron2 Eridani, and moves to 82 Eridani to take on a new project, terraforming Asgard's moon, Valhalla. He builds a house on the moon, and takes to living there as a manny. He also collaborates with Conan, Neil, and Herschel to create the Ever Onward foundation that recruits Romulans to colonize a distant planet. Will’s tone of voice is often bitter when discussing human relations. After nearly two centuries of dealing with humans, he has soured on contact with them. However, he continues to dote on his family, who are Julia Hendricks’ descendants. He approaches Conan with a plan to evacuate the family members from Romulus, by asking Conan to create the Ever Onward society as a means to recruit humans who want to colonize faraway systems.
Not Till We Are Lost[]
Will departs human space in The Nostromo, searching for older civilizations or an explanation for the Fermi Paradox. He sets off at 70% of the speed of light, dropping space stations he calls Bob Seeds at every system within 4 or 5 light years of his flight path. He uses mannys to explore several of these systems, including the almost-habitable planet BSC 142 C, whose designation comes from the Bobiverse Stellar Catalog. He builds the Fargo to secretly transport Bob’s relatives off Romulus and take them to the distant systems he is scouting. He returns to Omicron2 Eridani using a network of wormholes to be physically present to assist Neil and Herschel evacuate the members of the Ever Onward society from Romulus.
